|Calibration Engineer II
Coordinates and performs diesel engine calibration for base engine, after treatment and on-board diagnostic systems in the test cell and on vehicle. Verifies test cell calibrations along with calibrating vehicle-specific calibrations in vehicles. Participates in the development of functionality to meet future regulations. Reviews new technology and learns latest emission test technology.
Requires Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; or equivalent directly related work experience including a minimum of three years automotive engine development experience. Coursework in internal combustion engines as well as diesel engine or Emissions experience preferred. Strong knowledge in basic engine and electrical engineering, diesel and gasoline engine operation knowledge with good understanding of Emissions related government regulations as well as Diesel engine emissions calibration experience. Must have strong PC Skills in Windows applications, as well as good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to organize/develop project goals and time schedules in area of expertise. Enhanced report writing skills and analytical ability along with relevant skills in engine/software development as demonstrated by scholarly/industrial achievements required.
