Engine Development Engineer II
Develops and investigates problems for prototypes and pilot vehicle engine and emissions systems under several conditions (durability, road trip, cold, hot, high altitude, etc.).
Investigates field quality of engine control systems (emission, on-board diagnostic, drive-ability) on existing Isuzu products such as customer, in-use, durability, and fleet vehicles.
Supports customer’s application of Isuzu manufactured vehicles. Performs vehicle PEMS testing during emission development period, and supports PEMS testing as required for customer’s in use vehicles during pilot or enforceable test program. Reports objective data results of tests and subjective analysis to management as required.
Requires Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent directly related work experience. Direct coursework in internal combustion engines preferred. Seminar/industrial training in specialty preferred. Minimum 3 years experience in automotive research and development, concentrated experience in automotive engine development. Position requires 10% - 15% travel including overnight and weekend stays. |
