Lifecycle Training Specialist
Responsible for conducting, coordinating, and implementing a comprehensive dealer aftersales training program for all dealerships and internal employees. Program includes instruction of dealer service and parts department fixed operation efficiencies, planning workflow, maximizing market influence, and measuring department performance. Conducts Isuzu-specific training classes and webinars for dealers and internal employees including coordination of training materials, course schedules, classroom logistics, etc. Develops, updates, and maintains non-technical training materials for dealer service and parts business. Maintains current level of expertise through participation in on-going “Train the Trainer” type instruction including travel to ISZJ-CV in Japan and industry seminars/conventions.
Requires Bachelor’s degree in Automotive or Education, or equivalent directly related work experience. A minimum of seven years automotive dealership fixed operations experience, a minimum of five years training experience, and a minimum of three years content development experience. Must possess a strong working knowledge of service and parts processes and operations within franchise dealerships; basic knowledge of structuring and delivering instructional or educational materials; basic knowledge of various dealer management systems and software. Must also possess the ability to develop and deliver dealership training concepts using methodologies focused on immediate application and use; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate concepts and processes in an easy to understand manner to a diverse dealer audience; proficient PC skills in Windows applications including PowerPoint presentation development and webinar software. Requires occasional reaching, stooping, and lifting of office files, reports or records, typically weighing 5lbs. or less and rate instances of lifting light to heavy material, 5-60 lbs. Position also requires light travel (domestic and international), maximum of approximately 5% time including overnight stays.
