Service Quality Specialist
Analyzes technical data and supports management in identifying failure trends. Uses existing databases such as Warranty data, Technical Assistance data (TAL), Technical Incident Report data (TIR), and Vehicle Information data to analyze failure modes. Also utilizes above mentioned data to monitor certain major Fleets and identify major problems. Presents trends, makes conclusions and recommendations, and supports engineering issue resolution. Supports and updates weekly on major Fleet Quality improvement programs (Shoki-Ryudo). Supports and updates daily reports to support downtime reduction programs. Maintains Warranty Part Return Request system and upload/transfer failure information into TIR database system. Performs Wiebull analysis to estimate failure trends on certain components.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Statistics, or equivalent directly related work experience and a minimum of three years’ experience in data and statistical analysis, and reporting. Must possess strong knowledge in data analysis and data management; knowledge of basic diesel engine components and understanding of basic outline of commercial truck chassis a plus. Also must possess strong knowledge in mathematics, business, and database competencies, strong PC skills in Windows applications (Microsoft Office Applications: Excel, Access, etc.); additional database management software skills helpful; excellent written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills; data, mathematical, and statistical analysis skills; and the ability to work independently. Position requires occasional travel including possible overnight stays.
