Product Support Representative

Responsible for the promotion and development of engine sales and related components through distributor developed sales channels and supports the development of engine sales to factory direct OEM accounts. Responsible for engine, engine related components (EAK (engine accessory kits)/PIO (port installed options)), and spare parts (when applicable) according to goals such as sales volume, dollar amounts, and organic growth.  Works closely with Director, Sales & Marketing, ISZA Sales Managers, SCM, Sales Engineering, and various EAK/PIO suppliers, to ensure EAK/PIO business achieves growth and improvement.  Participates in sales preparation; creating sales materials, participating in sales planning, following up with sales staff, and other sales related activities.  Provides customer satisfaction and support to accomplish projects, new product launches, and participates in marketing events such as trade shows and trade show planning.  Participates in the sales planning process creating reports and providing monthly updates.  Follows up with Isuzu distributor and/or OEM as necessary.  Compiles and reports all information resulting from personal contacts, market research, hearsay items, expenses incurred, sales opportunities, lost sales, personnel changes, facility changes, training provided, and all other overview items that affect field efforts in the promotion of Isuzu engine and parts sales.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, sales, or marketing; or equivalent directly related work experience.  Minimum three years experience in automotive or industrial component or engine sales, equipment manufacturing or related activity, specifically in construction equipment, heavy duty transportation, or other related commercial industry.  Understanding of independent distributor companies business practices and operations.  Understanding of independent OEM customer business practices and operations.  Thorough knowledge of engine applications and performance characteristics.  Strong PC skills in Windows applications.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Good organizational skills.  Position requires incidental travel including some overnight stays.
