|Purchasing Cost Analyst
Coordinates all business related issues with NAFTA suppliers including cost, quality and delivery of the parts purchased for commercial vehicle production in the United States. Analyzes and interprets the financial health of potential and current suppliers by utilizing suppliers’ financial statements and key ratio analysis. Issuance of Request for Quotation packages for new programs, engineering changes, and market studies. Thoroughly analyzes cost elements of parts including tooling and packaging amortization, economic adjustments, logistics costs, and NAFTA and Country of Origin Implications. Evaluates suppliers’ quotations and negotiates cost reductions. Coordinates the flow of information and documentation between the suppliers and Isuzu engineering and production departments.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering and a minimum of three years’ experience in an automotive environment; experience with contract negotiations including pricing, terms and conditions and policies regarding purchasing. Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings, knowledge of cost analysis and time value of money, excellent negotiation skills, proficient PC skills in Windows applications, strong verbal and written communication skills, and excellent analytical skills are required.
